The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a Program Security Representative (PSR) to support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research & Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) in the development and implementation of a multi-disciplined security program for complex, major acquisition programs at Government facilities in the Pentagon, Mark Center (Alexandria, VA), and nearby locations. In this role, the employee will perform the functions of personnel, physical, information, industrial, and communications security and continuity of operations.

This contingent position requires a candidate with knowledge and experience in personnel, industrial, physical, and information security principles.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience (the Government may accept additional experience in lieu of post-high school degrees
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Current DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with DoD security principles and systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • SCIF management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Special Access Program (SAP) security management, including development of program identification description (PID) documentation and SAP access nomination documentation
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP security management, including development of program identification description (PID) documentation and SAP access nomination documentation
  • OSD, DARPA, and/or OUSD(R&E) and related systems experience


This position is contingent upon award of a contract and funding of this position with an expected start date of 1 October 2024 or shortly thereafter.
