Overview
GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Product Development Manager in the Carlisle, PA area.
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for helping to identifying, develop and launch new products. In addition, they will assist the other Product Managers with their development efforts and will be the expert resource on the project tracking software that will be used to manage the development process.
Responsibilities
- Educates Product Managers and Product Specialists on the use of software and other tools used for innovation and new product development.
- Facilitates the process of understanding customer needs
- Assists Product Marketing with expediting new product development.
- Adapts existing product designs to meet new specifications and applications.
- Assists with construction of prototypes.
- Tests prototypes to verify product reliability; adjusts as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required. A master s degree is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in marketing and long-range planning required.
- Building material industry and channel experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selections, and product testing.
- Ability to understand and utilize project tracking software platforms.
