Responsibilities

  • Buildings and Assets
    • Monitor and maintain the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas of all CCA properties.
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, including plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical work.
    • Schedule and oversee routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
    • Collaborate with security system vendors to ensure the safety and security of CCA properties.
    • Coordinate and work with volunteers on maintenance projects when feasible.
    • Prepare facilities for weather events such as extreme cold or hurricanes.
    • Keep track of and facilitate routine maintenance for all CCA vehicles and equipment.
    • Maintain generators and emergency lighting systems in good condition.
    • Complete routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Administrative
    • Receive and prioritize maintenance work orders, ensuring timely completion.
    • Assist in budgeting for facility needs, providing input and recommendations.
    • Report on maintenance, repairs, safety issues, and other occurrences to supervisors and relevant staff.
    • Manage inventory usage efficiently, coordinating with other CCA departments.
    • Ensure proper tracking of CCA inventory.

Job Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma / GED.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance, construction, or a related field.
  • Certifications in related areas are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities are essential.
  • Must possess a valid LA driver's license and have access to an insured motor vehicle.

Job Specifications
  • Medium: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 100% of the time.
