We have an extraordinary opportunity for professionals who are ready to embark on a whimsical journey as Summer Camp Counselors at our magical foster care camp. Get ready to make a splash in the lives of girls aged 10-17 as you join us for an unforgettable experience!
Picture this: June 10-21, 2024, a captivating adventure awaits you at the enchanting Texas Christian University.
From 7am to 6pm, you'll dive into a world of laughter, learning, and lifelong memories.
And guess what? Lunch will be provided every single day. Who says you can't have fun while working?
Not only will you be making a difference in the lives of these incredible girls, but you'll also receive a stipend (on a 1099 contracted basis) for your magical contributions. We know how important reliable transportation is, so make sure you bring your enchanted vehicle along.
But hold on, the fun doesn't stop there! We have a pre-camp training session on June 5, 2024, where you'll learn all the secrets of our magical camp. And guess what? It even counts as Continuing Education Units (CEUs) toward your social work license. It's like getting an extra sprinkle of magic on your professional journey!
Requirements:
While we appreciate a touch of magic in our candidates, we prefer those with experience in social work or education. You must be 18 years or older and meet our organization's requirements for working with youth. We strongly encourage those with experience in working with at-risk youth to join our enchanted team.
Open Positions and Descriptions:
Summer Camp Instructor (Full day 8am-5pm, 2 positions)
Conducts educational programs at school sites with group of 20 students.
Provide and promote a safe and nurturing environment that s conducive to learning.
Teach STEM enrichment activities to students in grades 6th -12th grade.
Assist children with detailed oriented projects and activities.
Prepare for each instructional session; organize materials as appropriate.
Provide excellent customer service to all children, families, school partners, co-workers, and community members.
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with co-workers/teammates
Maintain a clean, safe, pleasant, and enriched environment.
Summer Camp Counselor ( Day shifts, 1st Shift 7am-12pm, 2nd Shift 1pm-6pm, 2 positions)
The Camp Counselor plans, conducts, and leads activities while interacting and maintaining safety of participants in a camp environment.
Work is performed under immediate supervision of the Summer Camp Instructor with exercise of judgment in accordance with established policies, procedures and techniques.
This position can be combined if ONE applicant can work both shifts.
