**Mid-Level Interior Designer**

**Interior Design - Seattle, WA - Full Time**

Olson Kundig is seeking a dynamic **Interior Designer** with a minimum of 5 years of post-bachelors degree experience in **interior design**. Based in Seattle, our work is global and diverse.

Olson Kundig provides a dynamic, challenging, creative and collaborative workplace. Candidates should possess a strong design sensibility and a desire to learn and contribute to our projects with enthusiasm, excellent collaboration and communication skills, outstanding graphic ability, and interest in working on all phases of interior design work. Candidates should have strong technical skills and be willing and able to travel.

**Primary Job Responsibilities**

* Work with a creative group of interior designers and architects in realizing all aspects of projects from concept through construction documentation, purchasing, and installation

* Develop design concepts, solutions and presentations for residential and hospitality interiors based on the direction given by senior and intermediate designers and architects

* Contribute to programming and space planning for various environments

* Research architectural finish materials based on functional and design criteria

* Prepare presentations including drawings, renderings, and conceptual work

* Develop architectural finish, plumbing, and appliance schedules and interior detailing

* Source furnishings, develop FF&E budgets and specifications

* Assist with custom furniture concepting and detailed drawings for fabrication

* Have solid knowledge of interior code requirements and building systems

Areas of Expertise Luxury Single Family Residential, Hospitality, Workplace, Mixed-Use & Multi-Family

**Technical Proficiencies**

* Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office Suite

* Working knowledge of CAD and Sketchup

**Training and Experience**

* Minimum 4-year Degree in Interior Design

* Minimum of five years of experience working with an architectural or interior design firm

* Strong analytical, conceptual, organizational, and time management skills

* Concise and personable verbal and written communication skills

* Knowledge of furniture, fixtures, equipment, materials, and building finish products suitable for residential and hospitality projects

* Experience with design detailing and documentation

* Knowledge of LEED or Well Building Standards preferred but not required.

* Experience with FF&E purchasing process on both single-family and commercial projects

* Experience sourcing high end and unique art and furnishings
