Job Details
Description: The general warehouse associate stocks items and selects (picks) for filling customer orders.
This job is physical and is conducted in a cold environment! Warm-up drills and stretches are conducted in preparation for the shift. Must be dressed for working in a freezer!
**Other requirements:**
Read work orders, use computers, and hand scanners, perform inventory control.
Perform shipping/receiving duties which includes visual inspections of the shipments; reading labels, codes, and ID numbers; processing items, and stocking items in the correct location.
Unload incoming shipments and supplies from delivery trucks and load outgoing shipments onto delivery trucks for disbursement.
Receive and count stock items; record data manually or using the computer.
Inspect temperatures of received items; document if the temperature does not meet requirements.
Successfully undergo safety training and adhere to those teachings and procedures to avoid accidents and injuries.
