SUMMARY:
This position will ensure growth of our client's energy storage portfolio through post-acquisition project development for solar PV and hybrid (solar + BESS) projects. This is not an origination or Business Development role. There will be significant focus on CAISO and ERCOT markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Formulate entry strategies for developing projects in new markets
- Create investment committee paper to seek necessary approvals
- Work with internal and external stakeholders for greenfield and acquisitions. This includes, legal, financial, technical, permitting, etc.
- Preparation and submission of permitting and interconnection applications
- Manage all permitting including land, environmental surveys
- Collaboration with local communities and stakeholders, navigate any opposition
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Engineering, Energy Development
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in renewable energy project development
- 3+ years developing utility scale solar & BESS projects
- Development experience in CAISO, ERCOT, SPP
- Experience creating, reviewing, and participating in management of contracts, schedules, and budgets
- Working familiarity with GIS, ArcGIS
