Description

Work behind the scenes preparing for our products to be displayed in our stores, in our catalogs and on our website. The Product Development Assistant supports the Product Development Manager to complete all necessary merchandising functions for a specific category or categories, ensuring merchandising information and details for all products is complete and accurate, and working with the Merchandising team to achieve or exceed department goals.

Candidates who are residents of VT are eligible to enjoy a hybrid work arrangement, working onsite from our office in Manchester Center, Vermont, and at home. All candidates must be within a commutable distance to, and available to work from our office in Manchester Center.

A Sampling of What You'll Do

Support the PD Manager to execute multi-channel merchandising item plans by season and year

Work and communicate with suppliers to obtain detailed product information for all new and existing products

Work closely with other departments to ensure all product details are accurate and updated

Work with vendors to ensure all product samples are received, tagged, assembled if necessary, and turned over to Advertising on schedule

Help track all cost and retail changes including competitive reviews and seasonal audits

Provide administrative support related to meeting set-up, note taking and data entry. ,

Serve as the key point of contact for the department and category responsibilities when the PD Manager is traveling or out of the office

Who We're Looking For

Experience in a Retail environment.

Attention to accuracy and detail with strong organizational skills and follow through

Positive, team-oriented attitude and manner

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to interact with vendors and all levels of internal staff with a high level of professionalism

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects at once

Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
