**Your Role:**

As Interior Designer within the Design team, you'll provide design vision and leadership for ongoing vehicle programs. You will also create, present and develop interior concepts, conduct research to support development, and coordinate the development of 3D digital and clay models by working closely with designers, modelers and by collaborating with all external departments.

**Your** **Responsibilities** **:**

* Oversee and lead the Interior development of both production and concept vehicles from initial sketch designs right through to final production

* Create rapid and descriptive 2D visual communication, and an ability to efficiently present design ideation

* High-level proficiency in Photoshop and Alias

* Hands-on support of clay/digital/hard modeling as necessary to achieve expectations for design theme.

* Be able to perform and present benchmarking of competitive vehicles

* Perform all trend, research, and design exploration for new vehicle interiors, alongside consumer electronics, product, fashion, architectural and related design fields

* Create and enforce program timing and all relevant regulatory / feasibility requirements

* The ability to create high quality 2D Sketching along with 3D modeling to support design Proposals

* Build a rapport and interact with suppliers while being a champion for Design

* Taking pride and ownership of your project

* Above all, function collaboratively with the wider team while remaining self-driven

* Communicate effectively to the modeling teams in both clay and digital 3D CAD (incl. Alias)

* Work harmoniously with all design functions, including CMF, UI/UX, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain in cross-functional teams for implementation of production vehicles.

**Basic Qualifications:**

* Bachelor or equivalent in Automotive Design or related field.

* Minimum 3+ years of professional design experience at an Automotive Design studio (OEM preferred)

* Proficient in ALIAS and Photoshop.

* A proven track record of having designed previous Production/Concept vehicles

* Passion for automotive interior design

* Knowledge of current automotive design trends and technology

* Understanding of ergonomic requirements

* Excellent understanding of production vehicle design practices, general vehicle development processes, timing and product cycles

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience working in cross-departmental teams and balancing design intent with vehicle feasibility

* Professional, motivated and pro-active working attitude

* Ability to travel and work long hours

* Highly skilled in 2D digital sketching software: Photoshop or equivalent

* CAS 3D surface and 3D visualization software knowledge is a plus: Alias, VRED, Keyshot or equivalent
