Position: Legal Administrative Specialist


Join our dynamic team as a Legal Administrative Specialist! You'll play a pivotal role in assisting our Legal Department, primarily supporting the Legal Recovery team, by handling various administrative tasks. These include, but are not limited to, drafting general and legal correspondence, preparing pleadings, performing data entry, and maintaining Excel spreadsheets. Responsibilities:


  • Prepare Proofs of Claim, Reaffirmation Agreements and Correspondence to Debtor s Counsel and/or Trustee under Chapter 11, Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy cases.
  • Draft settlement agreements, addendum to contracts, legal letters, etc.
  • Draft PA civil complaints, organize supporting documents, and prepare for mail service.
  • Review with outside counsel all cases prior to court appearances.
  • Coordinate production of documents for subpoenas and discovery responses.
  • Process departmental mail.
  • Review invoices and prepare check requests for approval.
  • Meeting minutes.
  • Assist with business licensing and renewals.
  • Assist with internal and external compliance related audits.
  • Prepare and maintain excel spreadsheets.


Qualifications:


  • One to three years of experience in a legal environment.
  • Self-driven, results oriented individual.
  • Able to work individually and with a team of paralegals, collectors, and management.
  • Associate degree and/or Paralegal Certificate a plus but not required.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • PC proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Excel required.
  • Ability to learn and retain job related information.
  • Detailed and team oriented.
