SUMMARY:

Ensure building is kept clean, well-maintained, and safe on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform all aspects of facility cleaning
  • Develops and utilizes janitorial and maintenance schedule to ensure implementation of scheduled duties.
  • Monitors and controls supplies and equipment; prepares and submits requisition for supplies and tools as necessary for the location ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Communicate needs or problems to supervisor.
  • Aides in the development of the agency by promoting volunteerism and promoting awareness to the general public in order for Community Link to be a leader in programs and services.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Six months related janitorial experience and/or training preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Must be able to use mop, broom, and/or any other tools, including a ladder, necessary to

complete job duties.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 24 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 25 to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
