Pugh Executive Search is seeking a skilled Hands-On Controller from the Consumer Retail industry (REQUIRED) to manage Accounting and Finance for our client, a $100M privately held company.
Are you a skilled Corporate Controller or Divisional Controller with hands-on experience in managing the accounting and financial reporting for a company with a revenue of over $100 million? If yes, please keep reading! We are looking for a Controller to oversee and improve the accounting and reporting for our employee-owned retail client. The ideal candidate should be able to manage the G/L, financials, budgets, cash flow, risk, and provide strategic leadership while ensuring operational efficiency and stakeholder communication. Additionally, the Controller will be responsible for liaising with external auditors and tax specialists. The role requires someone who has a proven track record of developing staff in a remote or hybrid environment.
The following qualifications are required to be considered for this role:
- BBA or MS in Accounting, CPA and MBA is a definite plus
- Progressive experience in Corporate Accounting within the consumer retail industry
- Skilled at managing a small accounting team
- Experienced in developing streamlined/automated accounting and reporting processes using ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or MS Dynamics
- Currently sitting as a Controller or in the Accounting Leadership of a $100M - $300M Company
- Possess a strong work ethic with a drive for delivering timely and accurate financials
- This position requires above-average communication and team-building skills.
