Overview:

We are actively working with a very reputable contractor that is currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join their commercial construction team in Salt Lake City, UT. This role involves contributing to the success of the company by bidding and winning commercial construction projects. This can be either ground-up or renovation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams and estimating team to develop accurate project cost estimates, scope documents, and take-offs.
• Evaluate proposals from various subcontractors and determine the best way to proceed.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of project plans, specifications, and requirements.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
• Nurture relationships with said subcontractors to create long lasting partnerships.
• Provide detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to refine estimates and address project requirements.
• Prepare and present project estimates to senior management for review and approval.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry.
• Experience in estimating for construction projects of varying size with a focus on commercial ground-up and renovation projects.
• Proficient in Procore, OST, and/or B2W along with general estimating practices.
• Proven ability to surpass expectations and be a leader to everyone, not just those underneath you.
