Join us at Firestorm as our Manufacturing Technician. You ll work on and impact all aspects of our manufacturing, post-processing operations, and final assembly of our core products. You ll perform operations such as manual and automated heat staking, precision assembly of electro-mechanical subsystems, and final assembly. Work with our technician team and Lead Manufacturing Engineer onsite in San Diego, CA.

About you:

  • You are an experienced technician who has worked within a serial manufacturing environment, as a subsystem or final assembler for electro-mechanical products
  • You have experience with hand tools and automated tools in a manufacturing environment
  • You are committed to quality and have a passion for exceeding customer expectations
  • You are proficient in following work processes including inline quality control requirements
  • You are a team player and a joy to work with


Responsibilities:

  • Build and fulfill firestorm core products following work instructions and company processes
  • Perform in-line QC checks for various processes during assembly
  • Diagnose non-compliant products and perform necessary re-work
  • Enter data on manufacturing parameters
  • Operate light manufacturing equipment such as media blast stations, drill presses, and hand tools


Required Qualifications:

  • US citizen or permanent resident eligible for US security clearance to work with export-controlled data
  • 3+ years of hands-on electromechanical manufacturing assembly experience
  • Safe use of hand and power tools to assemble subsystems and full builds
  • Proficient with barcode scanners; spreadsheet data entry; computer systems; etc.
  • Able to work on-site 100%
  • Able to lift 30 lb.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in math and technical problem solving for work or college courses


Preferred Qualifications:

  • High-tech manufacturing environment experience
  • DoD-related product development program experience
  • Located in the San Diego, CA area

  • Ability to understand and adhere to local labor laws; Firestorm employment policies and work processes


Pay up to: $75,000 based on candidate s job qualifications. Eligible for company equity.
