Seeking associate attorney to handle primarily criminal defense (possibly other areas if interested). We have a laid back environment with excellent work life balance, however our performance expectations are extremely high. You will be expected to be the best, most-prepared lawyer in any courtroom you walk into. If that's exciting to you, then we can get you there if you have the attitude and aptitude. We are also very trial oriented, so you'll get the opportunities to hone your skills if that's something you're hopefully looking to do.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Texas License (should go without saying, but never does)
- Demonstrated interest in criminal defense (clinics, clerkships, work experience, not just class work)
- Ability to handle a criminal case from start to finish with little to no supervision
- Willing to learn
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Will have at least one first-chair jury trial under their belt
- Speaks FLUENT Spanish
- Has some experience and/or desire to practice Family Law and/or Personal Injury
- Has experience representing individuals facing difficult situations
- Has some sort of ties to Central Texas
