Environment, Health and Safety Manager


Job Details

The Environmental Health/Safety Manager will develop and carry out procedures with the line organization that effectively control accident and health exposures in the company. The EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring that all employees follow safety protocols and procedures. This includes conducting safety audits, investigating accidents, and developing safety programs.


Responsibilities

  • Assist line and staff management to understand OSHA and EPA regulations and standards, including guidance on handling compliance, inspections, and citations.
  • Ensure compliance with CERCLA, OSHA, RCRA, EPA, Title V, Storm Water, and other environmental and safety regulations.
  • Responsible for the emergency preparedness action plan development and implementation.
  • Develop an ergonomics implementation program to reduce the number of work-related injuries from repetitive motion.
  • Manage the Hazard Communication requirements and maintain updated files for material safety sheets.
  • Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develop hazard control practices and programs in conjunction with the line organizations.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with all environmental and safety regulations.
  • Conduct facility inspections and work with onsite management for resolution to findings.
  • Work with outside sources to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
  • Assess new developments in the health and safety field that may have application to the company's operations.
  • Work with insurance carriers during facility inspections.
  • Conduct annual health monitoring for the company in accordance with the OSHA hearing conservation program.
  • Develop, manage and maintain monthly safety training for all site employees.
  • Monitor compliance with safety procedures.
  • Investigate accidents to find the root cause and recommendations for implementing corrective measures.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business
  • At least 1 - 3 years of sales experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Excellent customer service skills, phone, and email etiquette
  • A minimum of 1 - 2 years of sales experience supporting a manufacturing operation piping system knowledge is preferred.
  • Compensation is based upon experience.
