Financial Analyst


Job Details

The Financial Analyst shall be responsible for assisting the U.S. Corporate Controller with the management of overall financial operations of the Indianapolis Packaging plant. This position will work closely with plant operations and management personnel and play an important role in monitoring the cost performance of jobs to assess data accuracy, production efficiency and profitability. The Financial Analyst will ensure a timely and accurate month-end close by performing key duties and ensuring accuracy of accounting transactions performed by the accounting assistant at that location.

This position will prepare month-end financial reporting and analysis of the Financial Statements and will work with the US Controller to review, analyze and present the results to upper management. The Financial Analyst will aid the Controller in formulating the operating budget, assessing actual-to-budget variances, responding to inquiries of senior management, completing special projects, and maintaining internal control while consistently following US GAAP and IFRS guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
  • Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports
  • Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
  • Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues to management


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
  • 3 years' financial analysis and modeling experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
