SUMMARY

The overall role of a Mechanic is to ensure that all machines and equipment in the facility are working properly and safe to operate. The Mechanic will understand and follow safety standards set by Adecco, OSHA and other safety governing bodies. This includes LOTO, PPE, etc.
They perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to minimize machine down time. The Mechanic will be able to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and breakdowns. Is able to complete maintenance tasks and planned activities as it relates to the plant grounds and equipment. Including upgrades, predictive and preventive maintenance and servicing production lines. Mechanics will be required to work on equipment as well as complete administrative tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Works safety and follows all safety rules and maintenance procedures.
Repairs all machinery breakdowns to support production.
Performs preventative maintenance on designated equipment as per PM schedule.
Perform repairs and upgrades on production equipment and building facilities.
Has a solid understanding of all the mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and their components.
Strong fabrication and welding skills.
Works on capital projects as required.
Performs necessary machinery mechanical modifications and upgrades.
Performs repairs on support equipment, ink jets, strappers and hand banders.
Maintains good housekeeping standards in the maintenance shop and the plant.
Ability to disassemble, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment to component level, returning to good condition.
Problem solver and team oriented.
Possesses ability to work with others, maintain strong work ethic and capable of multi-tasking in a fast paced environment.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical systems.
