Job Location Lake Junaluska Assembly, Inc - Lake Junaluska, NC * Must possess excellent hospitality skills and a strong desire to foster an attitude of Christian hospitality to exceed guest expectations
* Serves as point of contact for hospitality and guest services departments
* Responsible for reviewing emails, calendar meeting & incoming group lists to anticipate scheduling and guest needs, providing guests with up-to-date information and to consistently strive to deliver a quality of service to the guest that one would expect from a premier hospitality organization
* Assist in Managing Daily Operations of Coffee Bar
* Assist in On-The-Job training of new Baristas
* Assist in finding ways to increase Coffee Bar and Hotel Market revenues-reduce expenses, eliminate waste and increase profitability
* Work with Retail Director to increase the overall average transaction for the Coffee Bar
* Create and manage new menu items as well as seasonal drink recipes
* Coordinate with Dining services to maintain a base menu of quick service items and determine best way to merchandise
* Ensure applicable fees are implemented per transaction
* Assist with market studies to maintain competitive but profitable pricing on all menu items
* Assist with contribution of coffee bar information for Marketing promotions
* Overseeing Food Component/Supply Ordering and Pickup for local resources such as:
+ All food ingredients
+ Rotation of food, watching for expirations
+ Rotation and ordering of Ice Cream
+ Coffee
+ Direct baking of pastries, restocking when needed
+ Ordering of food/snacks for Hotel Markets
+ Pick up product from Sams Club, ordering online when possible
+ Assist Crew Leader with Pepsi orders for Hotel Markets
+ Transfers for restocking of Terrace snack and drink
+ Coordinate the picking up of milk at grocery store
* Supervise and organize cleanliness of Coffee Bar/Kitchen/Bathroom
* Daily Operation of POS system including register closing
* Make Daily deposits when on duty, solve issues that arise
* Ensure back up change is restocked
* Reconcile month-end of Coffee Bar invoices and receipt
* Implement & Oversee S.O. Ps (standard operating procedures):
* Point of Sales system
* Open/Close procedures
* Safety Procedures
* Equipment cleaning and maintenance schedule
* Maintain training manual
* Maintain up to date recipe book
+ Develop new drink recipes and signage
* Launder bar towels and aprons
* Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report any unsafe activities or conditions immediately to supervisor or the Human Resources department.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and required.
****Knowledge, Skills and Abilities****
* Minimum of 14 years relevant experience in Retail, Barista and/or Food Service
* Hospitality experience strongly desired
* Serve Safe Certification strongly preferred
* Supervisory and training experience, QSR experience as well as food and supply purchasing a plus
* Must have demonstrated good communication skills, client relation skills, and a commitment to providing responsive and conscientious customer service
* Must be detail oriented with knowledge of POS systems. Microsoft Suite a plus
* Should be highly motivated, team oriented and able to manage staff of all age ranges
* Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs, multiple tasks demands, and work structures
* Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, emails, and memos
* Ability to effectively present job-related information upon request to customers, clients, and employees of the organization.
* Proven computer skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills are required.
* Ability to interact with a wide range of people in varied situations, and address calmly and professionally guest/customer complaints or issues.
* Able to receive a variety of customer, clients, and employee questions, and know where and how to resource information to provide accurate, and timely responses.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formats.
* Must be willing to work a flexible schedule

* Moderate physical activity performing at times strenuous type work.

* Physical demands: able to lift, push, pull or otherwise reposition up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity sufficient to reach, and handle items to include hot equipment.
* Works with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials
* Climb, balance, stoop, kneel; frequently moves about, able to stand and walk for extended periods
* At times, be outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Vision: must be able to see close with good vision to perform daily duties.
