Technology Acceleration Partners (TechAccel, LLC) is a private capital firm that invests in, acquires, and advances early-stage, disruptive technologies in the agriculture and human health sectors. TechAccel is headquartered in Leawood, KS and is developing multiple early-stage partnerships which are physically located in the St. Louis, MO area.
The Marketing & Communications Director is a full-time/in-person director-level position based in the Leawood, KS office. The position reports directly to TechAccel s President & CEO, also based in Leawood, KS office, to perform a wide variety of marketing and communications functions in support of TechAccel and TechAccel companies.
The Marketing & Communications Director s responsibilities include strategy, planning, content development and execution of marketing and communications initiatives as well as the day-to-day marketing and communications needs of the business in accordance with the strategic plan and operating budgets.
Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of an entity-wide marketing & communications strategy in support of business goals
- Creation of original content involving interviewing, research, writing, editing and media creation.
- Management of all social media
- Company contact with the media, including KC & STL Business Journals
- Website management including content design and updates
- Display screen management including content design and updates
- Oversight of company domains, logos and trademarks
- Coordination of conferences including registrations, booths, branded promotional materials & speaking engagements
- Procure graphics and stock photos for presentations
- Edit materials prepared for Board, investors and potential customers
- Design and coordinate printing of physical materials such as brochures
- Monitor the company info email accounts
- Administrator of TechAccel s GoDaddy, WordPress, Siteground and similar accounts
- Additional duties and responsibilities as they arise
Key Requirements and Competencies:
- BS/BA in Marketing or relevant field
- Proven experience in marketing and communications
- Understanding of business functions
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly self-motivated, self-starter, able to follow through
- Flexible and calm under pressure
- Creative, resourcefulness, proactive, organized, detail oriented
- Strong work ethic & maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Outlook, PowerPoint in particular
Preferred Requirements:
- Familiar with ag tech markets and/or human health markets
- Familiar with R&D and lab environments
