**More details:**
Family in Short Hills with a two-year-old and a five-year-old is looking for a full-time nanny for about 55 hours per week. Position can be either live-out or live-in (Nannys choice). Schedule is Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:45 pm and Fridays from 8:00 am - 5:30 pm.
Family vehicle provided for any on-the-job driving. Availability for date night care or occasional overnight care when parents travel for work is a plus but not required.
**Ideal nanny:**
Ideal nanny is a dedicated, loving, active, creative people person. They are able to plan playdates and engage in games with two very active kids. Familiarity with kids activities in the area is a plus. Experience with younger kids preferred. They are warm and fun but also firm and able to set boundaries. Ideal nanny is a non-smoker with excellent judgment and a safe driving record. Looking for a caregiver who is an intuitive problem solver who notices, for example, when household supplies are running low. Ideal nanny is both independent and proactive when it comes to engaging these very energetic children in different activities.
**Duties include:**
Driving children. Arranging and supervising playdates. Helping with tidying Kids' rooms. Doing Childrens laundry. Preparing snacks and simple meals for Children only (baking chicken, vegetables). Tidying up kitchen/shared spaces after kids use. A plus but not required is willingness to occasionally fold Parents laundry.
**About the children:**
This five-year-old boy is thoughtful, curious, kind, a "planner", and a big rule follower. He is in school for most of the day (8:20 - 3:45). He is sociable but can be shy and loves to run around. He loves superhero stories and building with Legos. His afterschool activities include soccer and possibly swimming. Other interests include tennis, reading stories, and building with Magnatiles.
This two-year-old girl is energetic, affectionate, emotional, happy, and funny. She is in school for three hours everyday. Her interests include building with Magnatiles and reading stories. She is very active and loves playgrounds and sports. Her afterschool activities include soccer and music class. She is very big and physically coordinated for her age. She is very loving (loves hugs), happy, extremely active, and much more outgoing than her brother.
**About the family:**
The parents are effective, organized, thoughtful, loving, and affectionate. They are not micro-managers and appreciate a nanny who takes pride in her work. Both parents are vaccinated. Rules are enforced with reminders, explanations, and incentives (e.g., small rewards like a piece of candy or small penalties like five minutes less TV time), which is currently very easy because the oldest loves to follow rules. No pets in the home.

Salary for set hours plus overtime pay (this includes pay if Family on vacation). Two weeks paid vacation plus one additional week of paid time off for sick days/medical appointments.
