General Purpose

This position is responsible for providing facility coverage for the Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Department at the Miller, Center, Old North End (ONE) Center and/or Red Stone Cottage and for maintaining daily programmatic and facility operations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Opening and closing facility and individual spaces within the facility
  • Greeting public and program participants
  • Providing facility information
  • Collecting payments and participation waivers
  • Setting up and breaking down rooms for events, programs and meetings
  • Acting as liaison with staff and visitors
  • Light custodial duties as needed including cleaning and restocking restrooms, emptying trash and recycling, cleaning/organizing kitchen, sweeping and mopping floors.
  • As the primary point of contact for the facility, the Building Supervisor communicates and coordinates user needs with facility staff and management.
