Club Manager


Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Gym Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fitness facility. The Gym Manager will be responsible for marketing the club, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, implementing fitness programs, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for health and fitness.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations of the gym, including opening and closing procedures.

Hire, train, schedule, and supervise gym staff, including fitness coaches and receptionists.

Ensure excellent customer service by addressing member inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.

Develop and implement fitness programs, classes, and events to attract and retain members.

Monitor and maintain gym equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.

Oversee facility maintenance and cleanliness, including regular inspections and cleaning schedules.

Manage membership sales and retention strategies, including promotional offers and member engagement initiatives.

Develop and manage revenue targets, and cost control measures.

Implement health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for members and staff.

Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new fitness technologies.

Collaborate with other departments or external partners for marketing, events, or promotional activities.

Prepare regular reports on gym performance, membership statistics, and financial metrics for owner review.

Market and promote the club and coaching utilizing different platforms.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business, sports management, or a related field (preferred).

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the fitness industry.

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Knowledge of fitness equipment, programs, and techniques.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.

CPR and first aid certification (preferred).

Familiarity with fitness software and membership management systems.

Commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask and be organized.
