Paragon Technologies, a SunSource company, specializes in providing world-class service, repair and re-manufacturing in the areas of electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos and mechanical components for various industries.
Position Summary: Performs Service and Repair duties including routine maintenance, repair and assembly under minimal supervision.
Essential Functions
1.Disassemble components and power units for service and repair including teardown and inspection of unit.
2.Soldering and De-soldering of through-hole and surface mount components.
3.Make and test cables.
4.Analyze unit and parts involved to prepare a listing of parts that are worn, damaged, or not functioning properly.
5.Use huntron, digital volt meter, capacitor checker to static test components.
6.Assist in training of Electronic Technicians Level 1.
7.Initial Power Testing and Diagnostics.
8.Read and comprehend manuals in order to setup testing.
9.Assist in setup of test equipment.
- Assist in reverse engineering of electrical units.
11.Standard level repair and testing within department with minimal supervision.
12.Clean, organize, and maintain the Lab equipment.
13.Ensures safety rules and safe work practices are followed throughout department.
14.Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.
15.Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education and Skills
1.Education-High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) required. 2 year Electronic Engineering degree or formal training in industrial technology, electronics or related field in which fluid power is part of the curriculum preferred.
2.Electrical Aptitude -Advanced ability in soldering, de-soldering, component recognition, making & testing cables. Ability to disassemble, clean and assemble electrical units and understand electric theory. Ability to read and comprehend schematics. Understanding of both direct and alternating current theory.
3.Experience-2-3 years of electronics experience.
4.Physical Dexterity-Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Position stands 95 to 100% of the workday
