Holland + Seals is a growing company and has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Leader to join our construction team.
The ideal candidate would be a recent construction related graduate or have at least 2 years of construction background with prior project management experience. Candidate must be hardworking, have the ability to lead, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties that will be performed include, but not limited to:
- Review plans and specifications with trade partners on site and communicate the scope of work.
- Attend and sometimes conduct jobsite meetings with trade partners, engineers, and city officials to ensure efficient and orderly performance of the job.
- Ensure construction schedules are being met and also updated on a daily basis.
- Responsible for submitting daily logs and progress reports through provided project management software.
- Coordinate and oversee regulatory inspections set forth by the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction).
- Assist other Project Leaders.
- Procure material and issue variance purchase orders for any unforeseen items that arise outside of the original budget and scope.
- Clearly communicate scope of work and pricing requirements with trade partners.
- Mentor and lead other less experienced team members as the role progresses.
The following Experience Qualifications Education - and Skills are not required, but preferred:
- Bachelor s degree in Building Science or Engineering.
- Related construction experience.
- Ability to read a set of construction plans.
- Proficiently utilize project management software, Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and estimating tools: PlanSwift, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Buildertrend, Procore, etc.
- Ability to adapt quickly and change with innovative technology.
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
