Description: Job Summary:In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this senior manager position is also responsible for serving as a leader and subject matter expert with demonstrated success leading and managing a comprehensive security investigations and loss prevention program. This includes delivering expertise and coherence across assigned area(s) while ensuring consistent and repeatable service delivery, effective integration, alignment, and unity of effort between frontline, area, and regional levels of the organization to establish and maintain a strong and adaptive security posture that aligns with organizational risk tolerance and business strategies. This position is also responsible for overseeing the implementation of the framework and organizational design of a security investigations and loss prevention program including the governance, operating rhythm, systems, and tools necessary to execute standardized processes. This includes overseeing integration and process improvement efforts with other internal investigative functions; guiding the development of standardized investigative processes; and leading and managing the intake and triage of compliance, human resources, and other threat management cases and investigations. Finally, this senior manager role serves as a subject matter expert and internal consultant to senior management, and develops engagement with agencies, industry associations and other security experts to drive innovation and best in class investigation and case management programs.Essential Responsibilities:Creates and advocates for developmental opportunities for others; builds collaborative, cross-functional relationships. Aligns team efforts; builds accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; assumes responsibility for decision making; fosters direct reports to resolve escalated issues as appropriate. Communicates goals and objectives; incorporates resources, costs, and forecasts into team and unit plans; ensures matrixed resources are fulfilling service or performance requirements across reporting lines. Removes obstacles that impact performance; identifies and addresses improvement opportunities; guides performance and develops contingency plans accordingly; influences teams and units to operate in alignment with operational and business objectives.Supports facility access control plan by: contributing to and overseeing the implementation of guidelines for facilities access control, including key control, ID badge management, locking and unlocking doors, providing emergency and after hours access as appropriate, providing escorts to sensitive areas, traffic control, and vendor/patient/visitor/personnel access management; and driving compliance with access control plan, across plies with safety and security policies and procedures by: using advanced knowledge of safety and security laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards to influence the development of new strategies and concepts across a wide range of situations throughout the organization; orchestrating training programs for security staff and regional employees; fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leading the review and development of department policies; and holding teams responsible for applying safety and security knowledge and training.Directs response to security and threat incidents by: maintaining own awareness of all current emergencies, disasters, and other incidents at facilities, with consideration for their impact and severity, and ensuring team awareness; overseeing and coordinating response of internal and external stakeholders and resources for emergencies, disasters, burglaries, and uncooperative or combative individuals; influencing and executing plans for emergency response (e.g., lockdown procedures) across teams; managing incident response training programs for security staff, employees, and physicians; serving as lead investigator in highly complex security incidents; analyzing security incident reports and driving improvements based on analyses; managing efforts to compile information on potential internal and external threats and facilitating strategic planning to minimize threats with Threat Management Team; and gathering, reviewing, and disseminating internal and external safety/threat related intelligence to facilitate improvements in incident response.Monitors and prevents security incidents by: validating and influencing compliance systems technology standards and development of the security management plan to monitor premises, people, and systems (e.g., fire alarm, security, closed circuit television) to detect criminal violations or hazardous conditions in order to reduce crime, limit property loss, improve safety of physicians, employees and members, and minimize liability; developing relationships with internal department stakeholders and collaborating with local and regional law enforcement to better assess security risks and respond to incidents and inquiries; holding security team accountable for plan compliance; overseeing security and risk assessments to identify and mitigate liability and risks; and using strategic thinking, expert judgment, and discretion to provide assistance in resolving highly complex escalated issues, as needed.Guides continuous improvement of security systems by: driving teams to integrate cutting-edge security solution design standards into new construction, renovation, and/or life cycle replacement projects; representing teams needs in adapting to security technology changes to senior leaders and guiding teams to collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Information Technology, Risk Management); leading teams to conduct industry analysis and ensuring best practices are applied; serving as subject matter expert to hold teams accountable for making recommendations for security solutions for new construction, renovation, and/or life cycle replacement projects and represent these recommendations to higher level managers and directors; and overseeing the maintenance and monitoring of alarms, detection devices, and other physical security devices in accordance with established processes and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum six (6) years of experience in a investigative role, leading/investigating complex criminal, civil and administrative cases; conducting complex criminal, civil, or administrative interviews with witness, victims or perpetrators; understanding case management, optimizing projects/programs through continuous improvement to effectively align people (staffing), processes, and technology; experience with writing, reviewing search warrants, subpoenas, court orders, court testimony experience, and conducting complicated investigations and interviews.Minimum four (4) years experience in law enforcement investigations.Minimum four (4) years experience in crime scene and evidence management, (Physical and Digital Evidence).Minimum four (4) years experience developing security policies and procedures (e.g., investigations, loss prevention, workplace violence).Minimum three (3) years experience in project or program management.Minimum two (2) years of experience managing operational or project budgets.Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.Bachelors degree in Law Enforcement, Business Administration, Public Policy, Healthcare Management, Criminal Justice, Corporate Security, Security Management, or related field AND minimum eight (8) years of experience in Security Management, Hospital Security, Law Enforcement Management, or directly related field. OR Minimum eleven (11) years of experience in Security Management, Hospital Security, Law Enforcement Management, or a directly related field.Drivers License (in location where applicable) Additional Requirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): N/A Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years experience in healthcare working with existing and emerging risk factors and mitigation strategies. Five (5) years of experience in conducting fraud or white collar crime investigations. Four (4) years of experience in conducting and managing Use of Force, Internal, Personnel and/or Administrative Investigations Five (5) years of experience in conducting criminal, personal or threat management background investigations. Five (5) years of experience in conducting and managing Homicide, Death or Sexual Assault Investigations. Five (5) years of experience in working as a Liaison with Law Enforcement and Government agencies (Local, State, Federal and Prosecution agencies). Five (5) years of experience in working with Local, State, or Federal prosecutors to charge criminal cases, or Corporate Legal for civil cases. Professional affiliation with or membership in American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS), FBI National Academy Associates (FBI NAA), International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), or similar organizations. Master's degree, or equivalent, or higher in Law Enforcement, Business Administration, Public Policy, Healthcare Management, Criminal Justice, Corporate Security, Security Management, or related field. One (1) year of Labor Management Experience. Member of American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), International Association for Health Care Security and Safety (IAHSS), or similar professional organization Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) Four (4) years experience leading or delivering training programs. Three (3) years experience developing business plans and presentations. Four (4) years experience in health care working with existing and emerging risk factors and mitigation strategies. Three (3) years experience developing and communicating a security strategy and aligning projects, initiatives, and resources to execute against the strategy.
