Schedule: 2:00 pm. - 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Description: Join our vibrant community as a Dishwasher / Kitchen Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and cafe space. This position is essential for ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for both students and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Dish and Appliance Management:
- Wash and organize dishes throughout the day.
- Manage dish bins, including cleaning and storing.
- Clean coffee makers and pots regularly.
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Clean all cafeteria surfaces, including behind appliances, microwaves, and refrigerator surfaces regularly.
- Sweep and mop floors daily.
- Perform monthly deep cleans of compost, trash, recycling bins, stove grates, and replace aluminum foil.
- Food Service Assistance:
- Assist with lunch and dinner preparations.
- Manage ongoing dishes during meal services.
- Set up and take down steam tables.
- Stock and Supply Management:
- Monitor and discard expired leftovers, primarily on Mondays.
- Refill snacks, cereals, chips, napkins, and other consumables.
- Replenish cabinets with to-go containers and other supplies.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
