Job Title: Office Assistant, Part-time (25 hrs./wk.)

Reports to: Business Manager and/or Pastor

Location: St. Elizabeth Seton |Naples, FL

Classification: Hourly/Non-exempt

Overview

The Office assistant position is responsible to assistthe parish office in carrying out its mission with secretarial and administrative professional support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist people when they enter the Parish Office.
  • Answer, screen and route incoming calls promptly, accurately, and courteously.
  • Review and distribute mail.
  • Establish and maintain up-to-date filing systems, both hard copy and electronic.
  • Maintenance of parish records, including reporting to other churches, entry into parish database system and handwritten documentation in sacramental books.
  • Assist with preparation and execution of various events (daily / monthly / annually).
  • Assist with Marriage and Funeral planning.
  • Assist with bulletin and email communications.
  • Maintain adequate office supplies.
  • Aide in the training and certification of volunteers to assist with tasks where needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiar with the Catholic Faith.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of MS Office products and of database systems.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Valid Florida drivers license.
  • Must be able to pass FBI Level II background check.
  • Bi-lingual English Spanish, both written and spoken.
