A boutique consultancy based in Austin that helps FinTech and Banking organizations secure more equitable contracts with the tech giants are looking for a Payments Specialist to join the team. You ll spearhead a new payments contract negotiation program and service that can be sold to CEOs, CFOs, and COOs of community banks and credit unions.
You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business plan to establish the company as a leading provider of payment solutions for merchants. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the merchant payment industry, including trends, technologies, and key players.
Payments Specialist Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategic business plan outlining target markets, client acquisition strategies, and revenue projections for merchant payments.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and potential challenges in the merchant payment industry.
- Identify and engage with potential clients, including merchants and payment service providers, to understand their needs and preferences.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements that align with both client needs and the company objectives, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Drive marketing efforts to raise awareness and generate leads.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
Payments Specialist Requirements:
- Experience selling in the payments industry across merchant, EFT or credit issuance solutions
- Strong understanding of the ISO contracts for community banks and credit unions
- Experience working for a payment processing company such as Vantiv, FIS, Fiserv, Adyen ect.
The salary for this role is $90,000, alongside a generous commission scheme and performance-based bonuses also. This is an onsite role is Austin, Texas. The company believe in a true work-life balance and all work on flexi-time, as long as the job is done the hours you work can be flexible.
