Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates and manages operations for assigned area of distribution and fabrication production, maintenance, safety, quality, and shipping and receiving.
- Coordinates plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure that the overall operating objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Schedules work and flow of materials through the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and actively addresses issues with orders, supplier deliveries, manpower requirements, and equipment utilization.
- Communicates with Customer Service and Sales team status of orders and promptly notifies those teams of delays or service interruptions including recovery plans.
- Responsible for specific KPI performance related to overall plant performance within distribution operations, production, safety and quality standards.
- Controls and minimizes labor, overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
- Maintains and /or upgrades existing plant facilities and equipment including the replacement of, or adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
- Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
- Provides direction, development, training support and leadership to subordinates.
Qualifications to Meet Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or a related field and over five years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MRP systems and ability to work through complex issues to deliver product on time.
- Experience using SAP
- Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
- Thorough knowledge of safety laws and regulations and the ability to implement related policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and procedures.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $57.69 - $62.50 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer a competitive benefits package.
