Within Agoro, **Engineering Management** is a key part of our **secret sauce**.
Engineering managers within Agoro bring a magical blend of; breadth of experience, technical depth and people skills to enable our teams to excel and succeed. Youre responsible for nurturing our culture, expanding our ability to tackle challenges and expand the horizon of **what is possible**.
As Engineering Manager for our UI Platform Teams you will be responsible for delivering on the mission of delivering a compelling and engaging UX experience through the web and mobile. You will fully own the technical roadmap with your teams
Engineering Managers have 3 core aspects to their role:
* **Technical**: Depth of understanding of UI/UX technologies and the processes around them. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves this is a hands-on role.
* **Culture**: Breadth of knowledge with building compelling user experiences which address customer pain.
* **People**: A passion for growing people through coaching & mentoring
This is a **journey of discovery,** there is much to learn but together, with you in our team, we can figure it out.
****What you will do****
* Youll work closely with your fully cross functional teams to own the mission and roadmap with your teams executing and delivering solutions directly aligned with the customer problems and Agoros objectives. We are solving non-trivial global problems so with your team youll need to find creative solutions that solve todays problems with an eye on the future.
* Side by side with your peers you will ensure Engineering within Agoro is heading in the right direction. Youll work on establishing engineering as a practice within Agoro, ensure we have the right collaboration, processes, and tooling in place to raise the bar of excellence with everything we do.
* Hire, support, coach, mentor, invest in and grow a great team of talented and motivated of engineers. Assess & improve the productivity of teams and individuals and set clear expectations via practices such as 1:1s, goal setting, and continuous feedback. Create a high performing and positive work environment based on transparency, accountability, and trust
****What you will bring****
* Breadth of experience in solving problems & bringing value by having several years of experience working on full stack composable UI architectures for the web and mobile, Design/UX/UI systems and monorepos. You have a hands-on mentality you are happy to roll up your sleeves, where you and your team learn by doing.
* You are comfortable translating sometimes ambiguous business and technical problems into plans that your teams and engineers can act on and feel passionate about. You care about facilitating learning and growth on the team and find ways to execute and deliver the here and now, while growing them for the future.
* Strong analytical, technical and trouble-shooting skills. You know how to deal with web-app challenges like localisation, A/B testing, behavioral analytics etc.
