SUBSTITUTE - Instructional Asst - Special Education - Whittier Union High School District

Job Details

Work Hours are varied at the different school sites between 7:45am and 3:30pm.
Applicants must provide an up-to-date resume as well as one letter of recommendation dated within the past year. All documents must be attached to your edjoin application.

Applicants MUST meet :
Ba/BS degree or higher (must show proof by attaching diploma or college transcript)
OR
AA/AS degree
OR
48 semester units or 60 quarter units of grade C or better (must show proof by attaching college transcript)
or
Obtain passing score on the two hour proficiency test with a score of 70% or better on each section consisting of reading comprehension, language arts and mathematics (attach a letter requesting to take the proficiency test or that you have previously passed the District Proficiency Test).

Certification (Current First Aid/CPR)
Letter(s) of Recommendation (One letter dated within the past year)
Other (Transcripts or Letter stating that you have previously taken the District Proficiency test)
Proof of HS Graduation (Proof of High School Graduation (Diploma or GED Equivalent)
Resume

Classified Substitute positions are on an as-needed basis. These positions are not permanent.

When personnel needs dictate, the Whittier Union High School District may hire substitute employees as necessary to carry on the functions of the District.

Applicants will be screened. Qualified Candidates will be invited to test.

All employees are fingerprinted as required by the California Education Code and will be processed by the State of California Department of Justice. Each candidate will be responsible for payment cost of $49.00. **This cost does not include fingerprint rolling fee.
