**POSITION SUMMARY:**This position is responsible for the marketing and sales of all co-products for Grain Processing Corporation through market knowledge and a thorough understanding of how the market impacts GPC products. The Manager will initiate and maintain relationships with GPC customers through phone calls and in-person visits, and will also assist in coordinating logistics of rail, truck and barge shipments of products to customers.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

This position supervises the Co-Product Sales Merchandiser.

**PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**

Market and sell all co-products for both GPC facilities, located in Muscatine, IA and Washington, IN

Manage accounts and effectively enhance co-product revenue

This role serves as a back up to the Director of Co-Product Sales

Initiate and maintain relationships with customers via phone calls and customer visits

Must possess strong negotiation skills, be self-motivated, and be able to travel to existing and potential customers

Must be able work independently and research new market opportunities

Must know the markets and understand how they impact the Co-products that GPC markets

Assist in coordinating logistics of rail, truck, and barge shipments

Assist in the execution of hedging Co-Products

**EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:**

Bachelors degree in Agriculture or a related degree preferred, i.e. Supply Logistics required

Minimum of 5-8 years of sales or trading experience in the Ag Industry required

Strong computer skills, specifically able utilize all functions of Excel

Understanding of futures and Options and related exchange traded instruments

Understanding of Over-the-Counter and other financial instruments for hedging

Excellent negotiation, written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent decision making, people management, and negotiation skills

Ability to think and act independently within policy and guidelines

Ability and attitude to provide assistance to the team as whole when gaps are identified, or personnel needs present opportunities

Team builder and change agent

Ability to engage, communicate & influence all stakeholders (internal & external) and establish trust and credibility with business unit leaders & other functional stakeholders

Honest with high degree of personal integrity and strong ethical business values

**EXPERIENCE:**

Experience with wet milling or ethanol industry is desirable, but not necessary

Experience in trading commodities, hedging, futures and options beneficial

**TRAVEL:**

This position may travel up to 25% of the time.
