HVAC Service Manager


Job Details

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position that will require 40 + hours per week.

Summary/Objective

Provide customer experience training, technical support, and performance coaching for HVAC Service Technicians.

Day To Day Job Duties

  • The workday determined by customer needs (in the event of emergencies off hours may be needed).
  • Provide trouble shooting support to the Service team via calls, video call (ie Facetime) and, text.
  • Prepare and conduct weekly meetings and trainings.
  • Perform site visits as needed (escalated customer service issues and high-level troubleshooting).
  • Monitor fleet.
  • Manage full job cycle within "Service Titan" software.
  • Order and coordinate materials for service jobs.
  • Work with the dispatch manager to ensure proper skill match for the Service team.
  • Perform 1 on 1 s and performance evaluations that include analytical feedback to the Service team.
  • Ensure team is properly staffed.
  • Manage employee performance issues to include disciplinary action up to and including termination.
  • Screen and hire qualified HVAC Service Technicians
  • Train Service Technicians on technical aspects of position
  • Provide performance coaching
  • Ensure compensation is competitive

Required Skills/Abilities

  • 8 years' experience in HVAC FHW, FHA, AC systems
  • 3 to 5 years of field technician management

Education Or License Requirements

  • EPA certification / Gas License

Additional Compensation: This position will include an annual target bonus based on performance.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment: Office and field

Physical Demands

This is a mixed-demand job. It is both:

A field-based job that requires prolonged periods of driving. It also requires working with your hands in basements and attics. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

A sedentary job that requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, talking on a phone, and looking at a computer screen.
