Job Description:

The Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Asset Management team in the day-to-day administration of all Asset Management projects, policies, and procedures with a specific focus on managing all affordable compliance and reporting for BLVD s affordable portfolio consisting of both Section 8 and LIHTC properties. The position is ideally suited for a highly motivated, detail-oriented and organized individual with a background in affordable compliance within a property management or asset management role. The position will work closely with all departments, including property managers, acquisitions, development, legal, and accounting. This individual should have the desire to be a part of an expanding, fast-paced company, and work within a team of other highly motivated individuals. This position will be based in our Dallas office and will report to the head of Asset Management.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all affordable compliance and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Assist in coordination and management of portfolio-wide Property Tax, Insurance, and Green/Energy programs
  • Organize and coordinate property management transitions
  • Take lead on handling and responding to all compliance-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist development team during LIHTC renovation projects tracking compliance items and coordinating directly with property management team for tenant relocations, etc.
  • Manage all regulatory agency, insurance and lender inspection processes (MOR, REAC, and others) including scheduling, property preparation, readiness, and post-inspection responses
  • Manage the Asset Management team calendar, including critical dates and deadlines
  • Prepare and publish weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the Asset Management platform
  • Maintain Asset Management files for accuracy, completion, and compliance with internal SOP s
  • Manage and track property ownership entity filings and renewals
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years in affordable housing compliance or a related field
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules and maintain efficient workflows
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask, handle competing priorities and allocate time effectively
  • Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Yardi preferred, but not required
  • Approaches work proactively and enjoys solving novel, challenging problems
  • Demonstrates a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
