Senior Commercial Litigation Claims Specialist

Job Details

Our client is seeking to add a Senior Commercial Litigation Claims Specialist with an emphasis on handling Employment Practices Liability claims. This person would be responsible for handling complex litigated and non-litigated claims, including but not limited to, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and bodily injury losses. This includes analyzing and resolving claims, litigation management, reinsurance reporting, and claim disposition.

• Coverage analysis and letter writing; investigation; evaluation; reserve adequacy and timeliness; diary maintenance; management of defense and coverage counsel.
• Identifying and evaluating coverage issues, preparing coverage letters and analysis, retaining and managing coverage counsel through trial, and developing and managing strategy for complex coverage litigation.
• Claim presentations, both written and oral; obtain authority and/or formulate appropriate action plans on difficult claims.
• Attending arbitrations, mediations, trials.

Requirements:

• 5 - 10+ years of Commercial Liability and/or Employment Practices Liability claims handling experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience handling Employment Practices Liability claims, highly preferred.
• Evaluate coverage and determine case value throughout the litigation process, including setting reserves and issuing reservation of rights letters.
• Strong litigation management skills and ability to direct defense counsel.

Salary/Benefits:
