Executive Director - US Syndicated Finance Mid Corporate Sustainability

1. Summary of Responsibilities:

The Executive Director will be responsible for idea generation, pitching, transaction execution, and client management of the newly created Mid Corporate Sustainable Finance team. The ED will work closely with client relationship managers and other products (derivatives, DCM, debt advisory, loan syndicate, ESG advisory, etc.) to identify and develop relationships with clients that fit into the new initiative:

- US based (headquarters or subsidiaries of global companies)

- Revenues between $3b and $10b (expanding to >$1b as plan develops)

- Companies involved in the green economy (clean power, environmental solutions, power transmission & distribution, EV and EV charging, Agribusiness, Clean Tech, and Energy Efficiency)

- Companies in mainstream sectors that have ambitions or willingness to pursue energy transition



2. List Major/Essential Job Duties:

- Client and prospect pitches in coordination with the relationship managers

- Market and product updates on various loan products revolving credits, term loans (bilateral, club, syndicated)

- In conjunction with the Loan Syndicate team, the structuring, pricing, and negotiation of loan terms

- Manage the execution, documentation, and closing of loan transactions

- Ongoing relationship building with both clients and prospects at executive levels, providing value-added ideas related to financing needs and alternatives

- In-depth discussion of green and sustainable financing solutions

- Proactively seeking lead roles in event driven financing transactions



3. Level of Complexity and Risk Involved:

High level of complexity. Key component of the Syndicated Finance value chain. Actively involved in helping to pitch, structure, price, and execute loan transactions. Must have strong knowledge of multiple loan markets, including Investment Grade and Leveraged Finance and understand best practices in the market.



4. Skills, knowledge, and abilities/competencies:

- Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field

- 10+ years of experience working in Syndicated Finance, Loan Syndicate, or Commercial Banking, with specific experience pitching and closing bilateral and syndicated loan transactions (Revolving Credits, Term Loans)

- Knowledge of both investment grade and leverage loan markets and structures

- Knowledge of the Energy Transition and Sustainability trends

- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, financial modeling and DCF analysis

- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills - Spanish a plus

- Excellent presentation skills

- Ability to work in a team environment and under tight deadlines

- Proficient in Excel and Power Point, market research tools (Capital IQ, Loan Connector, etc.)

- Strong analytical skills

- Candidate should bring a strong track-record of prospecting and growing client relationships across a variety of sectors and rating and demonstrate the ability to add value on the full capital structure discussion with clients and

prospects

- Strong existing client relationships and a track-record of successfully leading loan transactions a significant plus





With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $200,000 to $260,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
