Job Description: IT Manager

Location: Midland, TX -OR- Dallas, Ft Worth area

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Travel: Periodic to Manufacturing Facilities and Office Locations


SUMMARY: Smart Chemical Solutions is looking for an IT Manager in the Dallas-Ft Worth or Midland, Texas areas, who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the organization's information technology (IT) infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, networks, and software applications. You will lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of IT services. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to identify and address their IT needs, implement IT security measures to protect against cyber threats, and develop and maintain IT policies and procedures.

JOB DUTIES:

User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end users, troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.

IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, servers, and telecommunications systems.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of IT professionals and contractors, including systems administrators, network engineers, help desk technicians, and software developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.

IT Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems and networks, monitoring performance, diagnosing and resolving issues, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.

IT Security: Develop and implement IT security policies, procedures, and controls to protect the organization's IT assets against cyber threats, including viruses, malware, and unauthorized access.

Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, evaluating performance, and ensuring that vendors deliver high-quality products and services.

IT Strategy: Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives, identifying opportunities to leverage technology to drive innovation, improve business processes, and enhance competitiveness.


REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.

Ability to think and act strategically; display problem solving and critical-thinking skills.

Proficient in data collection/reporting/analysis, related processes.

Strong technical skills and expertise in ERP modules.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:

2+ years experience with chemical treatment in the oil industry.

2+ years experience in oil and gas operations.

2+ years of experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting QAD ERP software.
