First Brands Group is hiring a CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE to work on site on our plant HOPKINS plant, located in Emporia, Kansas.


The CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE will assist by:


Job objective:

Process orders, maintain customer records, prepare correspondence, and ensure orders are processed on-time and in-full.


Principal activities

  • Responsible for customer orders; manual and EDI order entry, validation, and maintenance
  • Communication with internal/external customers to ensure effective relations
  • Maintain customer records in designated company systems; including customer notes, doc text, tax codes, addresses, sales part cross reference, lead-times, order confirmation set-up, ship notification set-up
  • Ensure all orders are processed on-time and all exceptions are reported to the sales teams
  • Assist accounting with information in regards to claims and fines
  • Run and review daily reports on order status
  • Obtain information from customers on requested RMA s to send to accounting for processing
  • Organize (file/scan) all CSR documents
  • Obtain customer guides
  • Document customer complaints to present to supervisor
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned by management
  • Promotes and maintains 6S principles throughout the facility


Preferred Requirements:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent, or one to three years experience in customer service, or an equivalent combination required
  • Must bebe able to transfer knowledge of policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal), customer relations, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills required
  • Computer literacy, Microsoft Office products required
