Argonne National Laboratory, one of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) major research centers, is pleased to announce opportunities for college undergraduate students to participate in the Laboratory's ongoing programs.

Candidate will:

  • Assist in the operation of the laboratory's enterprise data center facilities through learning the software/hardware elements of a data center.
  • Help document the data center environment using Data Center Infrastructure Management software.
  • Assist with deploying and decommissioning IT equipment including hardware installation and cabling.
  • Assist in updating facility documentation at multiple buildings across campus.
  • May assist in deploying and configuring data center devices for data collection and integration into data center software.


Education and Experience Requirements

This opportunity is open to any undergraduate student with relevant experience who meets the following criteria:
  • Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution and have completed at least one semester of schooling by the start of the program.
  • Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
  • Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • If accepting an offer, must pass a screening drug test.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident at the time of application.
