To work a variety of stations on any given shift, our line cook must be adept in poaching, braising, roasting, grilling, sauting, and frying. You need to be a team player who can effectively communicate with other kitchen staff to keep things running efficiently. AM and PM Shifts
Courtyard by Marriott Burlington Williston Responsibilities
* Set up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shift
* Guarantee that quality food is supplied, by adhering to specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products
* Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules
* Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sauting menu items
* Demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates
Qualifications
* Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage
* We prefer some experience working in the food service industry
* Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
* Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
