A manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Cost Accounting or Cost Accounting Manager. This is a hybrid position with 3 days on-site in their Hollywood office and 2 days remote. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $55 to $58 per hour. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Developing cost standards for materials and labor
- Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization
- Perform month-end cost accounting close
- Maintain cost accounting system and cost ledger
- Analyze inventory valuations
- Oversee annual physical inventory and correct inventory misstatements
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Assist with annual audit preparations
- Hire, train and supervise cost and inventory accounting staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field. CPA a plus
- 3+ years of cost / inventory accounting experience preferably in manufacturing/retail business
- 2 years management or supervisory experience
- Thorough knowledge of cost accounting principles, systems, and procedures
- Knowledge of relevant computer applications including Microsoft Suite (including Dynamics 365) with a strong proficiency in Excel
- Foreign language skills are a plus
