** Security Officer**

Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors on the University campus. Officers investigate incidents, patrol the campus, ensure buildings are secure, monitor the University switchboard, staff residence hall entrances, and enforce University policies.
***Full and part time positions and different shifts are available.***
**Base hourly rate: $14.00/hr. plus shift differential:**
**$0.50/hr. for 2nd shift
$2.00/hr. for 3rd shift**
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Internal/external walking and vehicle patrols of campus and facilities
* Escort students, faculty and staff as requested
* Conduct investigations and prepare reports as necessary
* Respond to and evaluate potential emergency situations
* Summon appropriate emergency resources, as needed
* Render basic First Aid
* Provide information/directions to students, faculty, staff and visitors.
* Motorist assist services: jump start dead batteries, vehicle lock-out
* Traffic control for special events
* Serve as the Immaculata University telephone switchboard operator as required
**Minimum Requirements:**
* A high school diploma or GED
* A clean criminal history
* A valid driver's license with safe driving record
* Good reading and report writing skills
* Strong interpersonal and communications skills
* Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
* Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid training
* Ability to use a computer
**Preferred Requirements:**
Prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred. However, appropriate customer service skills and an ability to learn the duties of the position will be considered.
