NASA FCU is on a mission to find an exceptional Call Center Mail Payment Processor who is passionate about delivering exceptional member service. Our homebase is located at 500 Prince George's Blvd in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This position is 100% in office. In this role you will be responsible for basic mail payment transactions and will receive training on payment processing, document retrieval, fraud detection, check holds, account ownership, basic product and service training and day-end balancing. Previous banking experience or retail with cash handling is preferred. Responsibilities:
- Remains cognizant of and adheres to Credit Union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Processes transfers from savings to checking and vice versa
- Receives, sorts, and posts checks for deposit to savings/checking accounts
- Receives, sorts, and posts loan payments
- Applies appropriate check holds
- Contacts members to verify instructions when needed
- Disburses withdrawals by check from member accounts
- Receives and processes member information update forms
- Responsible for jobs assigned by the direct supervisors for day-end balancing
- Picks up and drops off mail and specialty work in designated areas daily
- May cross-train on the Call Center Member Service Associate I position and perform basic job duties
Education and/or Experience: - Some experience processing payments or bank/credit union teller experience is preferred. The successful applicant will have the following attributes: conscientiousness, attention to detail, accuracy and service orientation.
$20 - $20 an hour
