Job Description:

We are seeking a positive and reliable candidate able to join a team that takes pride in building high-quality, industry leading packaging systems for some of the largest food, beverage, personal care, and pharmaceutical brands in the world! We offer outstanding hands-on training provided by an onsite mentor who will provide you with the support and encouragement you need to succeed.

Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Principal Activities & Responsibilities:

  • Work from shop orders, receiving reports, material requisitions, repair order lists and/or verbal instructions to identify disposition of materials.
  • Assist with receiving, identifying, issuing, and storing material/parts in established location using appropriate identification method.
  • Fill and distribute basic material and repair orders.
  • Label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications
  • Assist with unloading of incoming trucks as directed; inspect for damage; compare items and quantities received against freight bills.
  • Assist with maintaining records of all items received and shipped.
  • Assist with cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with detection of defective materials, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to supervisor.
  • Operate materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or organize storage.
  • Responsible for the proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements (USA only). Correctly label and date hazardous waste drums and transfer to authorized waste vendor. Recognize spills/leaks and handle as trained and in accordance to company policy
  • Attend team meetings; may provide input on quality, cost, or production issues.
  • Regularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team members.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at the worksite and on any assigned shift or work schedule is required for this position, as is the ability to work frequent overtime; this is not a job that can be performed remotely.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashion.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and or kneel for up to 8 hours.
  • Lift up to 50lbs
  • High School Diploma or equivalent


Preferred:
  • Load, Unload, and Material Handling experience a plus
  • Computer skills
