Job Description:
We are seeking a positive and reliable candidate able to join a team that takes pride in building high-quality, industry leading packaging systems for some of the largest food, beverage, personal care, and pharmaceutical brands in the world! We offer outstanding hands-on training provided by an onsite mentor who will provide you with the support and encouragement you need to succeed.
Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Principal Activities & Responsibilities:
- Work from shop orders, receiving reports, material requisitions, repair order lists and/or verbal instructions to identify disposition of materials.
- Assist with receiving, identifying, issuing, and storing material/parts in established location using appropriate identification method.
- Fill and distribute basic material and repair orders.
- Label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications
- Assist with unloading of incoming trucks as directed; inspect for damage; compare items and quantities received against freight bills.
- Assist with maintaining records of all items received and shipped.
- Assist with cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Assist with detection of defective materials, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to supervisor.
- Operate materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or organize storage.
- Responsible for the proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements (USA only). Correctly label and date hazardous waste drums and transfer to authorized waste vendor. Recognize spills/leaks and handle as trained and in accordance to company policy
- Attend team meetings; may provide input on quality, cost, or production issues.
- Regularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team members.
- Regular and predictable attendance at the worksite and on any assigned shift or work schedule is required for this position, as is the ability to work frequent overtime; this is not a job that can be performed remotely.
- Maintain equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashion.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:- Must be able to walk, stand, and or kneel for up to 8 hours.
- Lift up to 50lbs
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: - Load, Unload, and Material Handling experience a plus
- Computer skills
