Location: Concord, CA

Compensation: $90,000-$125,000


POSITION SUMMARY

A Project Engineer/ Geologist who is driven to contribute to a wide range of projects ranging from site investigations to regulatory compliance tasks, feasibility studies, and remedial design and/or implementation. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist or Manage projects.
  • Prepare Work Plans.
  • Leading technical teams working across multiple offices throughout the country, problem-solving, preparing plans and specifications, and meeting with clients and subcontractors.
  • Draft SAPs and coordinate the scheduling of investigation activities (soil, groundwater, indoor air (VI), soil gas, and stormwater sampling).
  • Projects include vapor intrusion assessment, mitigation, and response; in situ/ex-situ groundwater remediation design and implementation; soil remediation system design and implementation; and remediation system operation, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration, data analysis, regulatory compliance evaluation, and assessment.
  • Collaborate with staff and project engineers and scientists to develop and evaluate remedial alternatives and options analyses.
  • Work with staff to prepare bid specifications and evaluate contractor bids.
  • Provide oversight to teams during construction and operations of the designed treatment technology, monitoring and evaluation of treatment effectiveness, and regulatory reporting.
  • Share in the development and review of technical documents, reports, and designs.
  • Oversee the quality assurance/quality control of deliverables on projects and tasks self-managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others.
  • Work well with dynamic project teams and mentor junior staff.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor s or master s degree in environmental engineering, Civil, Chemical, Geology, or related environmental degree.
  • P.E or P.G. Certification
  • 5-8 Years of experience in environmental engineering.
  • HAZWOPER training and certification.
  • Experience with RCRA and CERCLA processes (RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD) and documentation.
  • Prior environmental investigation and remediation experience.
  • Understanding of Federal facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft program products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel to support ongoing environmental projects. (20% travel between LA, Monterey, and Riverside)
