Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time, entry-level
Copy Editor/Project Coordinator
to assist the creative team in managing and creating advertorials. The successful candidate will edit all copy following AP and internal style guides. They will also be responsible for proofreading all client-approved advertorials prior to publication with a keen eye for grammar. Supporting our production process by speaking with writers and clients is key. Working under tight deadlines, they will demonstrate an ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment, as well as possess exceptional communication skills and a collaborative spirit. This position will also include a large amount of project management and client interaction.
This is a perfect opportunity for those who desire a hybrid position and would like to showcase their organizational and communication skills while elevating their creative and strategic sides. It is recommended for individuals seeking work involving Writing, Editing, Project Management, and/or Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Copy edit written advertorials for focus, flow, and grammar
Proofread client-approved advertorials prior to press
Work collaboratively with creative director, business manager, project manager, as well as writers and designers
Communicate daily with clients via phone and email
Ensure projects remain on schedule and meet deadlines
Tackle new and unexpected tasks with a willingness to learn
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field; or five years of experience in an office setting without a degree
Strong organizational skills including multitasking and time management
Exceptional communication skills with both team members and clients
Professional experience in proofreading and copyediting
Experience in AP style
