Accounts Payable Assistant

The Accounts PayableAssistant will support all aspects of Accounts Payable responsibilities of theUniversity. The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for processingpayments which include receiving, processing, and verifying invoices formultiple departments. Successfully and accurately record transactions in theaccounting system and reconcile vendor statements and resolve anydiscrepancies. This position requires the ability to work independently andeffectively under tight deadlines, attention to detail, consistently displayaccurate and high-quality work, as well as excellent oral and writtencommunication skills with an ability to effectively liaise across levels anddepartments within the University and with external vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Accounts Payable Assistant will possess strong,accurate, and efficient data entry skills, with attention to detail.Excellent customer service, communication, andorganizational skills, as well as the ability to work with minimumsupervision.The Accounts PayableAssistant needs to be dependable and can handle multiple priorities anddeadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate musthave strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum high school diploma required, associate degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in an accounting or accounts payable environment.
