Support Technician

Mandatory Skills:

  • Runtime support includes computers, printers, scanners, mobile computers/tablets/phones.
  • Experience supporting industrial IT devices is a plus. ITIL 4 Foundation Training.

Description:

End User PC, Mobil Phone, and Peripheral setup and deployment technician

Primary responsibilities include:

- Setup/imaging of new user equipment (Laptops running Windows 10, Mobile phones running iOS or Android) according to global guidelines
- Delivery of end-user equipment to the users
- General OFFICE support to end-users

Extended Skill set:

- Collaborate with global support technicians in troubleshooting and resolving end-user problems, in addition to using all available resources such as personal skills, vendor documentation, and online knowledge bases
- Provide constant communication/feedback to end-users to understand their requirements and setting the appropriate expectations.
- Install and configure Client systems (Hardware, software, applications, communications, printers, and peripherals)
- Have good understanding of LAN connectivity (wired & WiFi) in support of existing infrastructure
- Assist PC Users in utilizing PC applications for office & factory automation and to solve business problems.
- Image & configure new and existing machines to end-user expectations.
- Deploy new machines to end-users by transporting equipment via handcart and personal/company vehicle in which lifting up to 50 lbs is involved.
- Other duties as assigned by Onsite Manager

Skills typical for Deskside Support in a Windows 10 based enterprise and end-user migrations from old to new computers.

Role is FIRST SHIFT. I'm open to start time of 7, 8, or 9am.
Candidate must report to work in Macungie PA (Mack Trucks assembly plant)
