What You ll Work On
- Calibrate all instrument and gauges in Tipp City
- Perform plant calibrations, plant automation and building facilities
- Plan and execute all periodic and demand instrument and equipment calibrations
- Coordinate and document calibrations performed by outside calibration service providers
- Assure that all instruments are properly classified and have calibration service plans that are in alignment with Abbott calibration policies
- Accountable for the proper coordination and file management for several regulatory systems. Errors may result in lost or incomplete documentation, leading to regulatory actions and/or observations
- Maintain proper handling of calibration equipment
- Adherence to FDA/QSR, corporate regulatory requirements and standard operation procedures. Not following procedures could cause product recall and or plant shutdown
- Maintain good working relations with all in-house customers
- Work in an industrial environment with persistent background noise (i.e. various pump alarms, air hoses and constant production activity)
You ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Pay and Shift
The hourly pay for this position is $30.00 per hour and offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus. This is a day shift position working is 6:30 pm to 6:30 am with rotating weekends.
SCHEDULE EXAMPLE:
WEEK 1:
WORK: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
DAYS OFF: Wednesday AND Thursday.
WEEK 2:
WORK: Wednesday & Thursday
DAYS OFF: Monday, Tuesday AND Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of prior manufacturing calibration experience or prior experience working with industrial instrumentation
- Able to work a flexible schedule while in training
- Prior experience in a regulatory environment (GMP)
- High degree of mechanical and electrical expertise
- Knowledge of RS Logix 5000 troubleshooting
- Knowledge of plant controls such as PID s and 4-20 mA loops
- Knowledge of plant networks such as Devicenet and Pofibus PA
- Working knowledge of Maximo
- Good communication skills, analytical problem solving skills and good interpersonal relationship skills
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior manufacturing calibration experience or prior experience working with industrial instrumentation
- Previous calibration experience with flow, pressure, temperature and conductivity instruments
